4. Duel Cards (preview)
A downloadable project

INTRODUCTION
I’d like to present a preview of my fourth game, titled “Duel Cards,” which I’vebeen working on for some time now; the idea for the project itself was conceived in 2021.
As I am a huge fan of card games, it simply couldn’t be any other way, and I decided that I, too, would try my hand at it and attempt to bring my vision to life on Maker, creating a project in the card game genre—a genre that is simply lacking on both the Polish and international maker scenes. MECHANICS
The rules of the game are no different from those found in card games, if you've ever played one.
The game board consists of spaces where you can summon creatures, and these creatures will attack enemies; depending on their stats, the difference in points will be subtracted from the player’s or the enemy’s health points.
Both the player and the opponent have a pre-built deck of cards, and cards from it will be drawn into their hand each turn.
To summon a card from their hand (place it on the board), both the player and the opponent must have accumulated a specific amount of mana, which is replenished each turn with an additional charge.
The battle ends when the player’s or the opponent’s health points drop to zero, or
when the game time runs out.

INFORMATION
In Duel Cards, players will be able to use different types of cards.
- Each card will have its own:
- Type (determines whether the card is a monster or a spell card)
- Rarity (determines the card’s rarity)
- Affiliation (which element the card belongs to)
- Class (indicates the class of the card within that affiliation)
- Each card contains the following information:
- Name: - Color indicating the element, - Image indicating the class.
- Statistics: HP, Attack. - MP (card cost),
- Properties: If the card has a special effect.

ABOUT THE GAME
Duel Card will be my first game to be continuously updated and developed.
My previous games were created, and then I stopped developing them (except for updates to fix bugs). Duel Cards will be my first game to receive expansions, updates, and ongoing development.
Planned Releases:
- Early demo version (providing access to a heavily stripped-down version of the game prior to the demo release)
- Demo version (basically to check what the game still needs, what to improve, what to optimize, and to catch any bugs)
- Full version (giving access to the game’s full content)
- Updates for the full version of the game.
WHAT THE GAME INCLUDES
So far, the following has been created:
- Approximately 100 cards (0 currently implemented in the game)
- Menu panels have been created.
- The game board has been created.
- Game characters have been created, with whom the player will be able to battle.
- Decks have been designed for all characters that will be available in the demo (version 2)
- Stats, properties, attributes, types, and artwork have been designed for approximately 100 cards.
- In progress: a playable battle between the player and an enemy is being developed
- A deck-building menu is being developed
- A battle menu (for selecting an opponent) is being developed

YOUR FEEDBACK
This is one of the most important points of this announcement for me.
I really want to hear from you—whether here on the forum, on Discord channels, in a direct message to me, or in the comments under the video on my channel, Duel Cards— what you’d like to see in the game, what you’ve always felt was missing in card games, what you’d add to your game if you were creating your own card game, how you envision a card game, and what you’d want such a game to have.
I really care about your opinions, so I’d be very grateful for your feedback.
FINAL INFORMATION
One thing you can be sure of is that Duel Cards will be my first project to undergo continuous refinement and development.
Duel Cards is being developed as a commercial project, which means that
I will also be targeting the international game development market, and the project will be released on the widest possible scale.
Planned release date: By the end of December 2026. (release postponed from 2024) Future releases/expansions/updates: Following the demo release Language versions: Polish/English
